Acclaimed Cambridge heavy doom-folk quintet Fuzzy Lights weave experimental drone textures around crystalline folk sensibilities to create music as atmospheric and ancient-feeling as the East Anglian landscape that shapes it.
The Feathered Thorns create compelling, explorative music which defies classification of genre and is in turn poetic, unsettling, visceral, spectral, romantic and raw, incorporating beguiling spoken word and lyrical melodic vocal duets, with broken parlour piano, valve driven guitar amplifiers on the verge of break up, spring reverbs and analogue effects which produce an authentic raw tonal palette, over a haunting collage of lo-fi sampled crackling soundscapes and disembodied tape recordings.
Melancholy, heartbreak and adrenaline meet the real or imagined, the ache of the familiar and the brooding thrill of the unknown.
