Black Shuck and Friends Art Exhibition

As part of the Black Shuck Festival we are inviting people living in East Anglia to submit a piece of artwork for an open call exhibition. The exhibition will be divided into adults and children categories. There will be prizes awarded.

The exhibition will be selected/curated by The Bell Gallery owner Jackie Bell, local and international artists: Ben Edge, Stuart Pearson Wright, Emerson New and Mariko Aruga.

The theme of the exhibition is Black Shuck and Friends. This can be interpreted as works focussing on folklore, legends, histories and stories connected with East Anglia specifically. Works that are not connected with this theme will not be exhibited. Some suggested narratives might be the stories of Black Shuck, The Wild Man of Orford, The Green Children of Woolpit, The legend of King Edmund and the Wolf, the Weeping White Ghost Horse of Trowse ot The Great Fire of Bungay. However, we would encourage you to research the subject and uncover more obscure tales.
